Marina is a Director, R&D and New Business Development at Rio Tinto Lithium. Marina’s expertise is in technology and markets and covers lithium battery supply chain from lithium extraction to future energy storage devices. Marina has inventions in lithium-ion battery materials widely used commercially, including the cathode technology that has become the industry standard and is used in a vast majority of consumer electronics devices. Marina is currently a member-at-large for the ECS Battery Division, member of the advisory boards for the Battery500 consortium. Marina has over 100 patents granted in US and worldwide.
