SOMAN Salil

Salil Soman is the Vice President of Business Development at Feon Energy, Inc., a Boston Area company working on disruptive new electrolytes for Lithium batteries.

Prior to joining Feon, Soman was Vice President of Business Development at Sepion Technologies and Natron Energy, where he led corporate business development activities in several $multi-billion markets including e-mobility, datacenter, telecom, electric forklift, and stationary grid storage. Previously at ZincFive, he was in-charge of strategic marketing and commercialization of Nickel-Zinc battery products as their Vice President of Product Marketing.

Soman carries nearly 25 years of experience across multiple battery technologies, and in the past, has spent several years in key engineering management positions at BASF Corporation (formerly, Ovonic Battery Company) and at Robert Bosch Battery Systems, the largest tier-1 supplier to major automotive manufacturers worldwide.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Colorado. A private pilot, Mr. Soman enjoys his weekends exploring California’s deserts, mountains and coastline with family and friends, when it’s time to recharge his own batteries.
